The Waiting Room by Tucker Legerski

Weak Notes # 3

šŸ—“ļø Date: May 3rd to 10th, 2025

High-level highlights

Good week last week. A lot more packing, focused on the moment. Some job applications, some webinars, and other planning. Made a new discovery (to myself) around becoming a librarian. I'm still working it out, but I think this might be the path for me. Maybe. I'd need to work out some things, find a way back to school, and all the rest, but early rumblings indicate I may head this direction.

Lots of family time this week and packing of the house.

The goodbye tour of Tuscaloosa continues. Saying goodbye to friends, packing, closing accounts, slapping our new address onto things. In less than two weeks we will be moving.

Most critically, I got unemployment started. Took me a week, but I got it figured out.

šŸ’¬ Talked to a few people.

I'm thinking about the Stony Brook Incubator, but unsure if it's a direction. Rob Byers, an audio engineer was very helpful with helping me figure out how to learn audio editing software — Pro Tools all the way – if that's a route I want to take. I caught up with Martone, Erica Hussey, and others. More thinking this week and exploratory convos than anything else.

šŸ” Looking ahead

I'm thinking about my social media presence and how posting content will help you. I'm looking to find more jobs and applying. I'm want to explore what it might mean to build my research/investigating skills, and build towards a life as a librarian. I am reevaluating what it means to be creative. What does art mean to me?

I want to read and write more. I want to have more fun.
